10 Tips For Brightening The Day

 

When you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine

 

1. Practice ANY Yoga Class

2. Pump Up The Tunes

Blare some awesome feel-good tunes HERE and dance it out, or close your eyes and allow yourself to just listen and enjoy.

4. Practice Gratitude

5. Use Essential Oils

The best essential oils for a blissful mood boost are; Cheer, Elevation, Frankincense and my personal favourite is a blend of Citrus Bliss and Whisper.

6. Spend Some Time Outside

Getting outdoors, especially in the sun, is an instant mood boost. If you’re feeling a little blue, try getting outside to breathe in some fresh air and be one with nature.

7. Get Off Socials

It seems like an obvious one because it is… Scrolling on socials has been proven to be hugely detrimental to our mental health. Do yourself a favour and give yourself a beneficial break.

8. Fake It Till You Make It

Research shows that our facial expressions, body posture and movements appear to influence our thoughts and emotions — so, why not embody confidence? Chin up, drop those shoulders and smile. You might be amazed by how quickly your mood can shift. 

9. Be Generous

There are many reasons for why it’s nice to be generous! Generosity generates happiness and happiness generates generosity. Thereby, fueling each other in a circular fashion. Source.

10. Hug A Human Or Animal

Hugging helps lower our stress throughout the day by producing soothing chemicals, it gives our immune system a healthy boost and it could assist with depression. Source. Time to get your hugs on!
